Appeal courtroom reverses Ifeanyi Ubah’s sacking as Senator
The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Thursday reversed the judgment of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) that sacked Ifeanyi Ubah as a Senator.
The FCT excessive courtroom on Thursday, April 11, 2019, eliminated Ubah as Senator for Anambra South senatorial district.
But a three-man panel of the courtroom, led by Justice Stephen Adah stated the judgment was given with out jurisdiction.
Justice Adah stated Ubah was denied truthful listening to by the FCT High Court and dominated that the certificates forgery case in opposition to Ubah was a nullity.
The decide stated the file of proceedings earlier than the FCT High Court confirmed that there was no proof that Ubah was served with processes in relation to the case.
Justice Adah said that the originating summons of the case which was heard earlier than the FCT High Court was not signed by any lawyer as required by the Rules of the High Court of the FCT.
The decide granted an injunction restraining the Clerk of the Senate and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from appearing on the FCT High Court verdict.
